Our Wedding

Our story began in an unexpected way with a new job and a futon purchase. I was the new girl at work. During orientation with HR, Billy burst into the room unprofessionally, with his holey T-shirt and unruly beard to reach under the conference table to grab his gear bag. I was appalled at the time, but this certainly made the first introduction a memorable one. It wasn't love at first sight, but it’s one of our favorite parts of our love story to tell. During a hurricane day at work a few weeks later, we started to find out we had quite a bit in common. We were the only two people that went in that day, (the new girl &amp; workaholic) and connected over music, movies and a love of bourbon. A few weeks later, I found out that Billy was in need of furniture and offered to sell him a futon really cheap. We met up to make the exchange and after a lot of witty banter and a Funday Sunday, we realized we were soul mates. We've have been inseparable ever since! Sometimes, it's the unexpected encounters that lead us to the most extraordinary love stories. PS- We have no idea where the futon is now..... ~Natalie

POWHATAN: For those of you attending the event in Powhatan, your stay is taken care of. You will just need to provide your own transportation to the venue. Those of you coming from Virginia Beach may want to work out carpooling. The trip should take about 2 1/2 hours. SANDBRIDGE VIRGINIA BEACH EVENTS: For those of you attending event(s) in Sandbridge, most of you live in the area and will not need overnight accommodations. Our out of town guests will have already received information about their overnight stays. For our local friends and family, carpooling and uber may be a good idea.

Travel

POWHATAN: We will be keeping you quite busy the day of however, the following day, as you will not be far from Richmond, there are plenty of things to do in that area if you decide not to head straight home. VIRGINIA BEACH: We will have plenty of events happening in Virginia Beach to keep you busy during your stay. However, Saturday morning, you may be interested in visiting the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge for a morning hike, or going to some of the local farmers markets in Pungo or at the oceanfront.

Tuesday November 12th 2024 Attire: Semi FormalWe would be honored to have you attend our very intimate wedding in beautiful Powhatan, Virginia! Ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and overnight accommodations all in one location! COTTAGES &amp; YOUR STAY: We'll have cottages booked for you to stay for the night.Cottages will be available to check in at 2pm. Feel free to arrive early, walk the grounds or freshen up, and relax for a little bit before the wedding begins! THE CEREMONY: Please begin seating at 3:40pm, Ceremony begins promptly at 4pm.See the schedule of events that will be with your welcome package in your cottage. CHECK OUT: Check out time the next morning is 10am. Complimentary Breakfast: A light complimentary breakfast is included with your stay. Visit the Provisions shop &amp; cafe from 7:00 am to 9:30 am for your complimentary breakfast and house-drip coffee. (Yogurt, Granola, Muffins &amp; Coffee). Specialty pastries and espresso drinks are available for purchase. I highly recommend taking something from the bake case home, it's all so delicious!

A big welcome to our out of town friends! To celebrate our nuptials, we would love for you all to come stay with us through the Weekend! We've rented a big beach house in Sandbridge and everyone will have their own room &amp; bathroom (per couple). There is also a hot tub, don't forget your suit!
 
CHECK IN: Starts at 5 pm on Friday November 15th, 2024.
 
FRIDAY: We'll have a casual night in, just catching up with everyone. We're going to open up some special bottles of bourbon and have our own tasting. 
*** Please let us know if you plan to eat dinner with us! We will be picking up catered Indian Food from Masala Bites***
 
SATURDAY: We will serve breakfast in the morning and you are welcome to relax the morning away on the decks, the beach or in the HOT TUB until the festivities begin at 2pm! 
SATURDAY Oyster Roast EVENT 2PM-9PM: Expect a lot of drinks, way too much food and roasted Oysters!
 
SUNDAY:&#160;We'll have breakfast available again and will say our goodbyes to anyone headed home that day. After that, We'll be getting ready for the football get-together.
 
SUNDAY FOOTBALL EVENT: 1PM-7PM - We'll have the Football games on and Eagles fans everywhere! Bring your jersey and rep your team. This will be very family friendly!
 
PLANNING:
**Please let us know which nights you'll be staying for this event ( Friday, Sat &amp;/or Sun?) so that we can plan accordingly for meals.
 
FINAL CHECKOUT : MONDAY 18th at 9AM for those that decide to stay Sunday night as well (which you are welcome to do!)

DRINKS &amp; FOOD:Drinks will be provided, however, true to all football gatherings, this will be potluck style, so bring your favorite game day snack and earn bragging rights for best loved bites! Come hungry and plan to leave full! ADDITIONAL DETAILS: DRINKS: Alcoholic Beverages are provided. Please drink responsibly &amp; arrange a DD or Uber if needed! CHILDREN: Children are allowed, we'll try to put some movies on for them in the theater room and have some activities for them at a table in the kitchen. There will not be booster seats or highchairs available though. PARKING: There should be open street parking on this block, but close spaces may be limited, carpooling/Uber is encouraged. PETS: No pets allowed SMOKING: No Smoking allowed. We are right on the beach though, so you are welcome to step onto the beach to smoke.
